DPA adds New Partners and Facilities!
The Dayton Players Academy is excited to announce that we are adding two new partner-clubs for the upcoming year as well as a new facility for training and games!
Our purpose is to collaborate with the surrounding community clubs to develop a coherent pathway for the players from small-sided play to advanced levels of play at the high school ages. Our partners all share the values and profile of being community-based clubs focused on young players and their development from small-sided play to full-sided 11v11. As such, these community clubs provide programming from U6-U14 and then encourage their players to continue their careers in the DPA. We all work together to share the resources to enhance the ability to provide for the players, while keeping the cost as affordable as possible. We dare to provide the opportunity for ALL of Dayton’s players to enjoy the beautiful game and chase their dreams! In accordance with that, we are really excited to add both PC United and Dayton Soccer to the DPA family!
PC United is a youth club based out of Eaton, OH. We have been working closely with PC United for the last few years, engaging in training with their players via our Training Academy program and Futsal program. “PC United believes that as a club we want to grow and develop players in a sport that they love through a higher level of competition and coaching. As a club we feel that DPA's objectives for players line up with our values. We also feel that DPA would provide a pathway for players who want to compete at higher levels as they enter highschool. As a club we feel that this would provide opportunities for players to experience different coaching styles, training and leadership which in turn would provide them with opportunities to play in a positive and competitive environment.” - Matt Roberts; Club President.
Dayton Soccer has joined DPA as our official outreach partner. Dayton Soccer helps bring the beautiful game to the kids in urban areas that often do not have access to the game. Over the course of the last year, we have been collaborating on events like their 7v7 festival as well as initiatives to organize friendly games and provide more affordable uniform options through our technical supplier. Our values and principles align perfectly and the profile of the club makes it a great fit for the network we are building.
Additionally, as part of the partnership, we will be using space at the Athletes-in-Action facility in Xenia, the home of Dayton Soccer. In addition to the sites that DPA uses now, we will be training and playing games at AIA this coming year! The Director of Dayton Soccer and Global Director of Soccer for Athletes-in-Action, Isaac Nelson, had this to say about partnering with DPA, “at Dayton Soccer club, our goal is to provide quality soccer training in a welcoming community environment that is accessible to all. We are excited about the opportunity to partner with DPA to work towards this common goal and make a long lasting impact in the Dayton community.”
We could not be more excited about what the next few years will bring! We now have five partners - NWC Alliance, Southwest SC, Oakwood United SC, PC United and Dayton Soccer, and we have added new turf facilities which will make a tremendous impact on our ability to provide a consistent, quality training environment for the players.
